An environment where students learn to learn, reason critically, think creatively,
and develop the capacity to produce innovative solutions to modern challenges.
A well-rounded education that fulfils the needs of the whole child, developing the attitude,
knowledge, understanding and skills for each student to become
mindful and ethical global citizens.
A progressive education is designed to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of all students. At NYA, we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our students who come from both here in Hyderabad and all over
the world.
We know that one of parents’ top priorities is to provide their children with the best education possible. Often this means a progressive education where students develop 21st century skills while still achieving the academic excellence required to pass their exams. But is it possible to achieve these two ideals in one learning environment?
About
New York Academy A Progressive American School
A progressive education is designed to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of all students. At NYA, we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our students who come from both Hyderabad and all over the world.
We know that one of The top priorities of parents is to provide their children with the best education possible. Often this means a progressive education where students develop 21st century skills while still achieving the academic excellence required to pass their exams. But is it possible to achieve these two ideals in one learning environment?
This is exactly what we’re doing here at New York Academy. We create an environment where students learn to learn, reason critically, think creatively, and develop the capacity to produce innovative solutions to modern challenges. By empowering students to take charge of their education, we help our students build the intrinsic motivation necessary to succeed in school and beyond. Our students don’t just learn the answers to test questions, they learn to ask the questions that build knowledge to succeed in and out of the classroom.
Parents shouldn’t have to choose between a progressive learning environment and academic excellence.
Our school community helps students learn to value diversity and inclusion through their daily experience.
It helps students grow into lifelong learners and critical thinkers. And it also helps students achieve academic excellence and top exam scores. Stop by to see how we’ve created an environment to make all this possible.

High academic achievement while learning to learn
Education is about more than meeting academic benchmarks at New York Academy. We know that it is also important to teach children how to learn so that they become lifelong learners. We help our students develop the intrinsic motivation to love learning as well as the self-awareness to understand their learning style and how they best learn. We love learning and we impart this attitude on our students.
Social growth with global mindfulness
At New York Academy, students learn how to relate to their peers and teachers and together practice calm, creative and mindful routines. They learn about their rights and responsibilities and how to interact in their own community as well as how to become productive citizens of an increasingly global society. Together we practice living with compassion, empathy and gratitude.
Emotional growth with a sense of security
At New York Academy, we know that students must feel safe and secure in their environment before true learning can take place. We meet both the academic and social/emotional needs of our students to make sure they are learning and growing in a secure and supportive environment.
Respect, honesty and a sense of self discipline
A New York Academy education means more than learning from textbooks. It means that students learn the importance of interpersonal relationships and how to develop important characteristics in themselves including honesty, respect for themselves as well as those around them, and the self discipline to be good learners, friends and global citizens.
