Camps and Events

Camps and events help our students in their holistic development. Not only do they help them feel more connected to their school community, but they also boost their confidence and self-esteem. Students get an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and make new friends. Students learn about different cultures and traditions and develop new interests and a sense of responsibility.

At NYA, we organize Summer and Winter camps for 4 weeks each. These activities are a great initiative taken up by our school to help students make optimum use of their holidays by learning and mastering new skills. Other students outside NYA are also welcome for these camps.

Through these programs, we provide a fun and educational learning experience. Each camp is designed carefully keeping in mind the age of the students, their interests and needs. These camps are closely supervised and aim at improving the engagement in extracurricular activities. We include a wide range of activities such as music, art, language learning, sports, design thinking, PHE, group activities and outdoor play experiences. The themes are usually connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the students share about the action they can take to help solve the problems identified.

Through these camps, teachers focus on bridging gaps in students’ learning journey. Our Intervention Program is mandatory for students who need extra support. Teachers work with individual students to help them in their growth areas.

Various events are organized throughout the year in class and as a school to help students develop and demonstrate their School-Wide Learner Outcomes.

In-Class Events – End-of-Unit Celebrations, Celebration of Student Action, DEAR time, Grade-level Assemblies, etc.

All-School Events – We celebrate both local and international holidays like Independence Day, Republic Day, Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.

We have other events like International Food Festival, Dot Day, Spirit Days, International Literacy Day, STEAM day, Sports Days, Winter and Fall shows, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Earth Day, Childrens Day, Teachers Day, etc.
