Surabi Khurana

Ms. Surabi is a passionate and dedicated educator with over three years of experience in IB PYP classrooms, both in India and internationally — including enriching teaching stints in Greece and Vietnam. Her love for teaching stems from a deep desire to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate learners who feel empowered to explore their world.

Having worked across diverse cultural settings, she brings a global mindset to her teaching, coupled with the ability to adapt, connect, and create inclusive learning environments. Surabi strongly believes that every child is unique and learns in their own way, at their own pace — they simply need the right opportunities to shine.

She is an educator who values student voice, choice, and ownership, and enjoys co-constructing knowledge alongside her learners. Her classroom is a safe space where questions are welcomed, ideas are celebrated, and learners are encouraged to think critically and collaborate respectfully.

A firm believer in the power of continuous learning, Ms. Surabi considers herself a “forever student” who is always open to unlearning, learning, and relearning. She enjoys experimenting with innovative strategies and believes in making learning meaningful, engaging, and joyful.

Above all, she places the well-being of every child at the heart of her practice — because when children feel safe, valued, and supported, they thrive.

She is excited to be part of the NYA community, where she looks forward to growing alongside her students and contributing to a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.
